totò e vicé

Role / Type: Sound Recordist, Sound Editor, Audio Foley Artist, Music compositor, VFX.

Adapted from Franco Scaldati’s play, the movie transposes the story of Totò and Vicé from the theatrical representations to urban scenes.

Totò and Vicé are timeless creatures, bewildered and misplaced, that roam about Palermo, marooned and empty; an urban journey and waking life between memories and dreams in one magic night.

Out from a timeless cave, their story of sanctification crosses the suburbs, reaches the city and it’s bowels, showing the real settings of Scaldati’s writing and cosmogony.

Old Photos to new life

Role / Type: Retoucher, Photo Compositor, Editor.

I did this photo series as a final project for Digital Image Elaboration in 2014.
It was an creative exercise of image compositing and I chose to give new life to some old black and white family photos.
I started to digitizing negative and original photographic paper, after I removed background and through selection and mask
I added colour, different elements and a new background.

Recently, after some years I created this short video with the process before and after.
It explain better how long is the work behind each single photo.

In photos you can see also my uncle as navy sailor on the beach and my father, the child dressed as a clown and in the other photo inside the toy car.
